The problem

Where returning customers drop off

A forgotten password often leads not to a reset, but to abandonment or guest checkout.

  • Login failsReturning customers may not remember their password at the moment of purchase.
  • Reset is painful on mobileA password reset takes customers out of checkout and into email, especially awkward on mobile.
  • Guest checkout instead of account loginMany fall back to guest checkout, and the order remains unlinked from their account.

Demo video

From product to order in one short clip.

The clip shows a customer logging in with a login code in the checkout – loaded only when played.

In comparison

Password reset, magic link, or login code

Returning customers are already familiar with password resets and magic links. Here is where the login code fits.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

  • Is SMS required?

No. Email is the default. SMS is an optional, additional login path you can enable per sales channel.

  • What happens after the customer enters the code?

The customer is logged in and can complete the purchase right away, without a password-reset detour.

  • Does QuickAuth replace password login?

No. Normal password login stays in place. The login code is an additional path, not a forced switch.

  • Is QuickAuth suitable for B2C and B2B shops?

Yes. QuickAuth lets customers log in with a login code by email or SMS and works for any customer account, whether your shop serves B2C, B2B, or both. The existing password login stays in place.

  • Can I use email only?

Yes. You can disable SMS entirely and run QuickAuth on email alone.

  • How does QuickAuth work on mobile?

Code entry is built for small screens and supports automatic filling of the code.

  • How are codes protected from abuse?

Through configurable per-window rate limits and an adjustable code lifetime.

  • How long does setup take?

Install and activate QuickAuth like any other Shopware 6 extension. Email login runs without an external service; for SMS you add a gateway connection.
