QuickAuth – Checkout Login Without Password
Getting started
QuickAuth is ready to use right after installation: the login code by email goes through your shop's normal email setup, so no external service is needed for it.
Install and activate
- Install and activate QuickAuth from the Shopware Store in the Extensions area. The extension ships in platform-bound version lines for Shopware 6.5, 6.6 and 6.7; the Store delivers the matching one automatically.
- After activation, login by login code is already active: the form appears by default on the account login page and on the checkout registration page, where it replaces the standard login form.
- There is no extra master switch: if you want to set everything up first, switch the two placements off in the settings and back on later – see The login form.
First test with an email code
- Open the account login page of your storefront.
- Enter the email address of an existing customer account and click Request login code.
- The form reports: "You'll receive a login code by email shortly if your email is registered." The email arrives through your shop's email setup.
- Enter the six-digit code from the email – you are logged in. The code is valid for 300 seconds by default; Resend code becomes active again after a 20-second countdown.
- Repeat the test in the checkout: put something in the cart and log in with a code on the checkout registration page; the order then continues normally.
Test with an existing account
Login codes by email are sent only to registered email addresses – for an unknown address, deliberately no email arrives, but the message in the form is the same. So use an account that really exists for the test.
Where the settings live
- You can find all settings under Settings → Extensions → My extensions → QuickAuth → Configure. Every option can be overridden per sales channel using the sales channel selector at the top.
- The Setup & support card at the top links to the documentation, a demo shop and support (support@commercewerk.de).
- Edit the login code email under Settings → Email templates (template type "Login code"); the form texts are snippets – the most important ones right in the settings, all others under Settings → Snippets.
- Set up login by SMS separately – see SMS providers. Without an SMS provider, the email path remains fully functional.
