QuickAuth – Checkout Login Without Password
Version notes
The version model
The extension ships in platform-bound version lines: 1.3.x for Shopware 6.5 (from 6.5.8), 1.4.x for Shopware 6.6 and 1.5.x for Shopware 6.7. All three lines offer the same feature set; the Shopware Store automatically delivers the line matching your Shopware version.
This documentation applies to all supported Shopware versions (6.5.8+, 6.6 and 6.7); the behaviour described is the same on all of them.
Current versions
- 1.5.0 – for Shopware 6.7.
- 1.4.0 – for Shopware 6.6.
- 1.3.0 – for Shopware 6.5 (from 6.5.8).
The three versions were released together and contain the same features – they differ only in the supported Shopware platform.
What the current release contains
- Code-first email login: after entering an email address, customers request a login code first and can switch to their password at any time. Enabled by default; the classic password-first flow can be restored in the settings.
- "Login methods offered to customers" setting: offers "Email & mobile number" or "Email only". "Email only" hides the mobile number option and switches the SMS login path off completely.
- Block unregistered mobile numbers: send login codes by SMS only to mobile numbers already linked to a customer account; unknown numbers see a notice and no SMS is sent.
- Editable texts: the request-code button, the helper line and the password link in the login form are editable snippets in the settings.
- Unified wording: the code is called "login code" everywhere, including the email template. Existing installations are updated automatically; customised templates are left untouched.
- Code entry: separate digit boxes, improved keyboard and screen-reader support, and a visible validation message when the form is submitted empty.
- Settings page: reworked groups and help texts in English and German, plus a help and support panel with links to the documentation and to support.
- Layout: improved layout of the login form on narrow screens.
Wording update on upgrade
The unification on "login code" is applied automatically on upgrade – field by field, and only where the shipped default is unchanged. Details in the Emails chapter.
