There is one line per Shopware version (2.x for 6.5, 3.x for 6.6, 4.x for 6.7). The few behaviour differences on Shopware 6.5 are listed in Version notes.

SwagPayPal

The official SwagPayPal extension is only required for offers on PayPal orders; the open standard payment methods do not need it. The combination is tested with SwagPayPal majors 8.x / 9.x / 10.x for Shopware 6.5 / 6.6 / 6.7; setup is covered in PayPal setup.

Theme and offer page

The offer page is its own storefront page right after checkout – it does not change your checkout. You can use the built-in offer page, which works without any design work, or a Shopping Experience with the offer element – and preview the presentation up front. Details and design options are in Offer page design.

Failure behaviour

The offer appears only after the order is placed – the order itself already exists at that point. If no offer is resolved, for example because no campaign matches, the payment method does not qualify or the extension is deactivated, the customer sees the order confirmation page as usual. If an offer link is invalid or does not belong to the customer, they are quietly redirected to the storefront home page. Declining, closing, an expired link or processing that does not complete safely adds no item – the original confirmed order remains unchanged.

Changes to the order confirmation page and email

If the customer accepts successfully, the add-on item is added to the same order – no second checkout. They then return to the normal order confirmation page. Optionally, the customer receives an updated order confirmation by email – active by default; the templates and the note on document regeneration are in Emails.

Updates, rollback and uninstall

Updates arrive through the Shopware Store and are included during the active subscription. Rollback, uninstall and data retention are documented by version – what is removed or kept on uninstall is covered in Data & privacy.

Before rollout

Operational details depend on the Shopware, SwagPayPal and integration version. Verify your specific version line before rollout – the go-live checklist walks through the points.
