Post-Purchase Upsell & Cross-Sell
Getting started
Requirements
- Shopware 6.5.8+, 6.6 or 6.7. The extension ships in platform-bound version lines – 2.x for 6.5, 3.x for 6.6, 4.x for 6.7 – with the same feature set; the Shopware Store delivers the matching line automatically (see Version notes).
- For offers on PayPal-paid orders: the official SwagPayPal extension (tested with SwagPayPal 8.x on Shopware 6.5, 9.x on 6.6 and 10.x on 6.7). It is optional – the standard payment methods need nothing extra. See PayPal setup.
Install and switch on
- Install and activate Post-Purchase Upsell & Cross-Sell from the Extensions area.
- Open Upsell & Cross-Sell in the admin's main menu (under Marketing). You see six tabs: Campaigns, Analytics, Activity, ERP Export, Health and Revenue potential.
- Check the master switch. It ships on, so offers go live as soon as an active campaign matches an order. To set everything up first, turn it off (in the extension settings) until you are ready, then switch it back on. See Global settings.
- Create your first campaign – see Campaigns.
- Place a test order to see the offer in action.
A quick first campaign
The fastest way to see it work:
- Campaigns → Add campaign.
- Campaign tab: enter an internal name. Leave Active off during setup. The Ready to go live? strip shows which required details are missing.
- Offer tab: pick an Offer product (a small accessory works well).
- Leave everything else at its defaults – the trigger is Always (any order), all supported payment methods and all sales channels are pre-selected.
- Preview offer page saves a new or changed campaign and opens the preview without a test order. Check the presentation.
- Switch Active on and save the campaign. Check that Enable post-purchase upsell offers is on for the test sales channel in Global settings.
- Place a test order paid by invoice. Accept the offer after checkout and check that the add-on item and new total appear in the same order.
Tip
The Health tab is your first stop if an offer does not appear. It checks the master switch, that you have an active campaign, that its offer sources are valid, and more – in plain words. See Health check.
