Post-Purchase Cross-Selling & Upselling

Five-minute check

Do not rely on the description. The public demo shop shows the complete customer journey in about five minutes – no account and no installation needed.

Start without an account

All you need is a browser: open the demo shop and order like a customer would. Use a documented, eligible payment method (see Payment methods & failure cases), then test the decline path as well.

The six steps

  1. Place an eligible order in the demo shop.
  2. Check the offer, price and action on the offer page.
  3. Accept the offer and, if required, confirm briefly at PayPal.
  4. Check the acceptance confirmation and return to the normal order confirmation page.
  5. Repeat with a new order and decline the offer this time.
  6. Compare the resulting order state with the documentation: the add-on item and the recalculated total in the same order.

A concrete path in the demo shop

The quickest route to an eligible order: add a demo item to the cart (for example product number SWDEMO10006), order as a guest and choose Cash on delivery – an open standard payment method. Right after checkout, the offer page appears with a visible price. If you decline, the order remains unchanged and you see the normal order confirmation page.

What the demo shop shows – and what it does not

The demo shop shows the flow and the interface: the offer page, a visible price, acceptance, decline, and the return to the order confirmation page. It does not show your own campaign rules, your theme or your payment methods – and it cannot reproduce failures after the capture. The exception sequence for those cases is documented in Payment methods & failure cases.

After the check

To test in your own shop, follow Getting started to your first campaign; before activation, work through the go-live checklist, and the health check verifies configuration and payment methods. The Shopware Store offers a one-month free trial.
